Colorful Socks. Child at Heart. Passionate about Marketing.
I’m a motivated, creative Communications Manager with over eight years of experience integrating strategy in corporate communications and public affairs, and a background in brand strategy. I’m ready for a Director-level position in the Washington D.C. area. I love creating inspiring campaigns that help companies develop a deeper connection with their audience through storytelling. I deliver meaningful messages to targeted audiences using critical thinking to build campaigns, and utilizing data to improve reach. Although I’m not a journalist, I love telling stories about everything through a variety of mediums–anywhere there’s an audience! Everything has a story that can be told in an authentic way to accomplish a goal.
During my time at CoreCivic, I launched a new careers website by creating content, collecting assets and designing the layout. When it launched, it boosted morale and led to active use from executives and facility leadership while providing potential candidates an opportunity to learn about open roles. Additionally, I lead the DEI strategy as a member of the council and create materials to promote efforts. I’m proud to assist with the CoreCivic Foundation by providing communication and assistance for our philanthropic initiatives.
At United Way, I launched and developed a variety of websites including our new company website, a campaign website and our Covid-19 website which resulted in 134K impressions in the first year.
At News-Gazette Media, I developed an in-house marketing agency. We wanted small businesses to think of us as a one-stop shop for print, digital and radio ads, but also an agency who could handle their marketing. And it worked!
My next career goal is to lead and develop a marketing and communication team overseeing projects end-to-end. I’m hardworking, energetic and eager to learn. I’m always searching for ways to improve my skill set by taking on projects outside the scope of my role.
On a personal note, I love colorful socks, and I’m a kid at heart. Interested to know more about me or my work experience? Let’s get a soda and chat today!
